The conflict is clear, and the lies need to stop. Community officials need to be held accountable for their unethical actions. If you encounter individuals in Battle Creek claiming to be "upset" because some of the individuals signing this petition, along with myself don't live there so we shouldn't be involved or have anything to say, ask them what have they done to help THE ENTIRE community? Battle Creek rakes a 4 on the Crime Index, with 12 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens; the population of Battle Creek in 2019 was measured a little over 50,000. Ask them again, what have they done to help stop violent crimes and homicides in the community; not just their side of town or the people who share their social and political views. What action have they taken to ensure that justice is passed down for the 70+ unsolved murders since 1968? These same individuals attempting to discourage outside support, are the same ones who were aware of the relationship between the individuals and are not seeking justice for those killed because it does not protect their interests; these individuals HIGHLIGHT why the outside assistance is needed.
