We the people. Residents of Hamilton Ontario, want the Festival of Friends, returned to it's place of origin. Gage Park, Hamilton. Home is where the heart is. This wonderful event was conceived and created in Hamilton. It grew in Hamilton. It was enjoyed by Hamiltonians successfully for 40 years. It is ours. We deserve it. We want it back. No one wants to sit in a wide open field, devoid of tree's. There is zero character to Ancaster Fairgrounds. Parking and transportation are a nightmare. It takes the average Hamiltonian 2+hours to get to the venue. You can not leave and return at will. The vendors are all packed into a building. There is no where to wander. Local businesses do not benefit from any pedestrian traffic. It is a farce and a crying shame. Make this the last year in Ancaster. The Grand Band Shell at Gage cries out for the return of the Festival of Friends. Bring it home.
