To date, we have received no response from the Prime Minister so we have added the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt to the petition. Only this morning, Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer for England, stated that "prevention is better than cure" when discussing the flu vaccination programme for children between 2-4 years. Apparently, "it's not cheap" but "that doesn't mean that as a society we should put off prevention, I really believe in prevention". We know there is no foreseeable cure so let's hope our NHS is interested in preventing us being denied our medication and as a result, denying us the opportunity to enjoy a quality of life impossible without it.
