Ehsan Abdulaziz, 46, was accused of forcing himself on an 18-year-old woman who had slept on his sofa after a night out drinking. Evidence of his DNA and semen was found inside her following the event. He was, however, cleared of all charges after claiming he 'tripped and fell' into her. 

This is an absolutely ridiculous excuse and should not be accepted in a court of law. A young woman's life will be permanently affected because of this and it is unbelievable that after only half an hour of deliberations, his case was acquitted. 

Rape is a serious crime and has major emotional consequences: Mr Abdulaziz should be re-tried and brought to justice for what is clearly a criminal act.
