Chronic illnesses are not funded anywhere near enough. To provide more funding would provide better care to those fighting daily and would also allow researchers to find more efficient ways of helping those suffering. People are uneducated and ignorant towards chronic illnesses which means we are fighting a stigma that we are 'lazy' or 'hypochondriacs'. The government does not acknowledge those suffering from chronic illnesses as being entitled to disability benefits or free prescriptions despite many suffering are unable to work or even function without medication which is often chemotherapy. I am calling on my local MP to help get the word out there.
