If you followed the Child Eyes campaign then please read the statement below. Child Eyes ran for 2 years from 2012-2014, it aimed to prevent harm to children & young people as a result of media sexualisation. ***Child Eyes ended in Dec 2014*** From Dec 2014, the Child Eyes' Facebook, Twitter and website pages were used by one member of the team who wished to continue campaigning. The direction was different and original team members requested that the campaign should be given a different name and branding to be clear to any supporters that Child Eyes was no longer operating. The campaign which took over the social media pages and website is NOT the same as the original Child Eyes. It is now Child’s Eyeline. It uses almost identical branding and is therefore difficult to distinguish. Myself and members of the original team would like to make it clear that we have no involvement with the new format and do not support its aims. We have grown increasingly concerned with the direction and wish to distance ourselves publicly. The original Child Eyes campaign wholeheartedly supported sex and relationships education in schools to counter the messages that children and young people are given by the media. We campaigned AGAINST any type of discrimination and we did not at any point argue that gender identity and transgenderism is harmful to children. This is not an issue that Child Eyes has ever been involved in however it appears that this is a key focus of Child's Eyeline. Thank you for your support over the two years that Child Eyes ran. Changes are still apparent in public places and for that we can all be proud. Much love from Kirsty, Jenni, Claire and Lena ***Please also be aware that high profile supporters listed on the website had given support to Child Eyes and not Child’s Eyeline as is stated on the website. ***
