Single parents especially are losing out under the old and current child maintenance service.

• The rules need updating and changing for self employed 
• If the paying NRP moves in with someone who already has a child, why does our money go down, basically giving priority to the partners child when they may already be getting maintenance for them
• If we provide evidence and information regarding the NRP working etc and has told them otherwise, they should have more powers to investigate this
• Under the new CMS they are leading RP's into financial abuse under the new direct pay as the first approach
• Under the new CMS they are stopping new claims / swapping over from CSA by asking the RP to pay a £20 application fee
• Why is it the eldest child gets less just because the NRP decides to have another child - our child costs the same to keep! Not to mention the new child has access to all of the NRP's wages whereas the other child only has the small amount the CSA/CMS deem enough
• Rates need revising to cost of living today
• More powers if NRP leaves the UK to still get maintenance paid
