As an almost 11 year player at the time of this writing, it's clear to see when ROBLOX went downhill. In 2013, September to be specific, ROBLOX entered a direction that saw a huge decline in quality. A huge list of controversial and hated updates were left in ROBLOX's wake since that day in September.

I stuck things through for about five years after the fall, thinking they can climb back up. I was proven wrong time and again, by not only David Baszucki, the current CEO of ROBLOX Corp., but also the community that ROBLOX is supposed to foster instead of hate.

 

Part 1: The beginning.

In 2007, I stumbled onto ROBLOX, thinking it was like a cutsey LEGO game where you could build. After a failed few account creation attempts, I settled on the name "nairb", as my name backwards. For the first few years, it was rough getting to know the ropes. The early-game community was just as bad then, but it was easier to weed out the bad people compared to now. The best times of ROBLOX were in 2011-2012, when I finally got the hang of everything and made friends.

 

Part 2: The beginning of the end.

It was 2013. It was bad enough with my Real Life taking a downhill turn, but ROBLOX decided to give me my first ever ban. This was after Eric Cassel, the former CEO, died. Since then, I shrugged it off, thinking it was nothing too major of things to come. Boy was I wrong. They introduced the first of many of its kind, a terrible update named Price Floor. Since then, I've gotten into scraps with ROBLOX sympathizers, defending the vitriol the company spewed out since 2013.

 

Part 3: I quit. What to fix to make me come back?

This is where you come in. If there is a spark of hope left within the dismal wasteland that is ROBLOX nowadays, you'd want to fix the following with either this petition or a petition of your own towards either the CEO of ROBLOX Corp., David Baszcuki, or high-ranking members of the ROBLOX community.

 

1. Remove the removals. I.E, BC options (Six Months/Lifetime), Tickets, Guests, Forums.

 

2. Remove the bad updates. I.E, Price Floor, others of its ilk. If ROBLOX wants money, there are better ways of asking for money.

 

3. Make the community more helpful than it is currently.

 

4. Allow the community to have at least a partial say in what ROBLOX Corp. does.
