ROBLOX is a popular online game created in 2004, originally named "DynaBlocks". It started as a basic online game where people of all ages, yet the community mostly consisting of children, could play games with others for entertainment. The game is thought to look like the popular childrens toy brand LEGO. The community kept growing and growing as the game gained more popularity. It has received many updates, and people believe the game started going downhill more recently. One of the largest reasons people think it started going downhill was the unfortunate death of co-founder, Erik Cassel. When this happened, these people believe that the staff team became less and less focused on enforcing rules, and more focused on making money. One reason for this is the belief of the "Report Abuse" option in-game not actually working. It is thought that the staff team ignores the reports. Another thing people began disliking is the updates and how they got rid of many good aspects of the game and made the game less fun. One such update was the changing and eventual removal of the popular ROBLOX Forums. More recently they made it so you cannot play games in "Experimental Mode." They reverted this change due to popular demand by removing Experimental Mode completely. Another update that caused a lot of backlash was the removal of Guest Mode. Another update like the removal of Guest Mode was the removal of the currency TIX. Personally, I do believe this was a good update, as people could easily duplicate TIX and get the paid currency, Robux, for free. A quite large community that a lot of people in the normal ROBLOX community dislike, the "Uncanny Valley" community. These people are commonly called "rthots" because they use unusually realistic faces and clothing, which cause discomfort and disgust in players. Another thing that causes people to dislike ROBLOX is the large mass of online dating, which the moderation team appears to do nothing about. A game where these "ODers" appear to congregate is the popular game Meepcity. This game has a party feature where people make things such as strip clubs and "six" parties. These are places that are absolutely vile. ROBLOX has become extremely toxic and me, and lots of people believe it should be deleted.
