Be it enacted by the people of the state of Missouri: Stop current and future construction of data centers in Missouri

Growing up in Missouri, I've always cherished the natural beauty and tranquility of our state. The rolling hills, vast green fields, and clean air have been a constant source of pride and well-being for me and countless others. However, I'm deeply concerned about the recent push to construct data centers in our beloved state, a move that could have devastating effects on both our environment and the health of our communities.

Data centers are enormous facilities that consume vast amounts of resources, including water and electricity, both of which are precious and should be conserved. Additionally, these centers emit significant amounts of heat and noise, which can disrupt local ecosystems and the quality of life for those living nearby. In areas where data centers have been established, there has been an alarming increase in health issues, including respiratory problems and other chronic conditions, affecting both adults and children.

These developments not only threaten our health but also diminish the beauty and serenity of Missouri, endangering our natural heritage. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to protect our communities from these risks. By implementing strict regulations and prioritizing clean, sustainable alternatives, we can preserve the integrity of our environment and our health.

I urge you to sign this petition to call upon our representative to enact legislation that prevents the construction of data centers in Missouri. Let's work together to defend the health and safety of our families and preserve the natural beauty of our state for generations to come. Please sign and share this petition with your friends and neighbors to amplify our message and ensure that our voices are heard.
