Due to the spread of the virus, COVID-19 Dartmouth College has recently moved all of its classes to a remote format until May 1st. This means that the regularly scheduled Spring Term 2020 will not be traditionally on campus for the first 5 weeks of the term. Despite this shift to electronic classes, Dartmouth has stated that it will keep the campus open to faculty, staff, and most importantly students with medical, visa status, and other reasons. Yet, some international students are still being DENIED housing, left with nowhere to go for interim or the 5 weeks. These international students denied housing cannot fly home as they would be putting themselves at risk of infection and Dartmouth itself has recommended against traveling internationally at this time. Additionally, these students would face their visas being revoked due to requirements regarding half-online courses. We are asking Dartmouth College Residential Life and Interim Care Team to GRANT those international students BOTH INTERIM AND SPRING housing.
