Residents have been protesting and campaigning for more than eight years. Nothing has been done to stop our homes being plagued with flies. I pay £185 per month to Bristol City Council for the privilege to live here (recent increase). Our children have flies on their food, landing on baby bottles, pensioners meals & on every surface in our kitchens. We struggle to have a bbq or serve up a roast dinner.
It costs a lot of money to buy extra foil or film to cover food, door nets, fly tape, sprays & disinfectants. I brave the shops to bring food home during a pandemic & finding a fly on food is devastating. This is England, not a third world country. The conditions we are expected to tolerate and live under are a health hazard. The council have done nothing and MP efforts are ignored. We must unite and stop accepting excuses, blaming other companies or local fly tipping, its nonsense. We will do what it takes to have a voice!! . Please share. These are our homes !!! Our dreams!
