We, the people of Redmond, WA, find the criminal behaviors in our neighborhoods to be unacceptable and in need of immediate change.

Most of our retailers experience shoplifting on a daily basis with little to no response. As honest, hard-working Americans living in Redmond, we stand against policies and legislation which doesn't take seriously gateway crimes like shoplifting. 30% of inmates have said they started their criminal careers as shoplifters. 79% of authorities surveyed agreed shoplifting is a gateway crime to other more violent crimes. It's not acceptable to allow this kind of behavior in our stores. Crime most not go unprosecuted, and criminals must not be allowed to walk free in our neighborhoods. We demand action, change of policy, and respect for law and order from our elected offcials. It's time for change.
