This initiative is a fervent appeal from the citizens of Dankuni and its surrounding areas, urging immediate intervention from the Indian Railways, the Ministry of Railways, and the Prime Minister's Office to address a critical and life-threatening issue.

1. The Core Problem- A Daily Death Trap Dankuni Rail Gate No. 8 has tragically become a "death trap", forcing thousands of people, including children, the elderly, and those with disabilities, to risk their lives daily while crossing the railway tracks. The community has witnessed numerous accidents and devastating loss of lives, most recently last Friday. The existing overbridge is often unusable, exacerbating the danger and daily suffering.

2. The Urgent Demand- A Safe, Modern Underpass (RUB) The primary demand is the immediate construction of a safe, modern, and well-designed Underpass (RUB) at Dankuni Rail Gate No. 8. This underpass is not merely a convenience but a vital necessity for the safety, future, and livelihood of Dankuni's residents. It must include effective drainage solutions to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.

3. Our Core Initiative- The Change.org Petition At the heart of this movement is a public petition on Change.org (https://www.change.org/UnderpassForDankuni This petition serves as a unified voice of the citizens, gathering support to pressure authorities.
