Justice for the St.Clairsville(Fairpoint Road), Ohio Cows owned by Jim Coleman

The Issue

On February 10, 2015 on a St.Clairsville(Fairpoint Road), Ohio farm owned by Jim Coleman a witness observed a cow that was suffering horribly. The downed cow had a visible eye injury and appeared very underweight. A second cow was also found deceased with ice on their body. The witness called the Belmont County Human Officer Joe Coe who came out to the location. The owner was also called. His son Jacob Coleman brought a tractor with hay. He then shot the suffering cow ending her misery. He used the tractor to remove the cows out of sight. The local news station was also called and by the time they had arrived the cows were removed. Jim Coleman showed up and stated to the witness that he knew of the eye injury on Saturday (2/7/15). He then stated the cow was "old and stuck in the mud."

The family now says the "Humane Society" investigated in less than a few hours and the owner had been cleared of any wrong doing. Belmont County does not have a Humane Society. A complaint to the prosecuting attorney has been filed.

Pictures and videos do not lie! We ask that this not be swept under the rug due to the owner being a well known business owner in the area. Had someone not come across these cows she would still be out there suffering.

Video of the poor suffering cow who is still alive.
