He's charged with assaulting his 21 month old baby and vicious abuse of his pregnant partner – but unbelievably, accused domestic violence offender Kyle Cobby has just been released on bail.

The details are truly disgusting that are being released by police. They're saying Mr Cobby hog-tied the woman, punched her in the face repeatedly and in a recorded interview openly threatened to kill her. After tying up his partner, he then left the house leaving her to struggle free and get to her son and safety.

Police "vigorously opposed" bail. 

One woman is being killed in Australia every week by current or former partners. 2 women died this month from people ON BAIL. This needs action.  

We need to fix this bail laws so that people like this are taken off our streets. How many more people dying will it take to be addressed?

I know first-hand what this kind of abuse does to you. I lost eyesight out of one eye and my unborn baby during the abuse from my ex-partner. I've spent years trying to recover.  Seriously, what kind of message does this send that this man is deemed fit for bail after the serious charges of abuse against him?

Please sign my petition to Premier Daniel Andrews – calling on him to revoke Kyle Cobby's bail and act immediately to fix bail laws so domestic violence is taken more seriously.
