I'd like to raise the issue of the shortage of car parks at Tarneit train station and surrounding areas. The little space is forcing people that choose to use public transport daily to leave their cars parked on grass, across footpaths and along the side streets surrounding Tarneit library. The lack of space is not only causing congestion, but is unsightly and a serious safety issue. Fine's up to $200 are being distributed everyday to commuters that are left with no other option then to leave their cars in illegal spots around the train station carpark. The growing population, increase in housing estates and construction of new shopping centers in the area will cause the problem to become much worse if nothing is done about it and will begin to discourage people from using public transport.  With the amount of excess land around the train station, I encourage Public Transport Victoria and Wydham City Council to reconsider expanding the carpark. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
