After spending 15 hours a day for three weeks over the xmas period tuned in to the ABC NEWS, totally heartbroken and helpless , watching Australia, my country,  burning, the incredible heroism of the firies, the fears and tears of the people who lost everything they held dear, local businesses ruined and incomes destroyed, holidaymakers not knowing which way to turn, and of course, half a billion animals or more, burned to death or charred, dehydrated and starving. WE HAVE LOST 75% OF OUR KOALAS.  Needless to say we need to protect every single koala.

A few days ago, in utter disbelief I saw that a farmer, at Cape Bridgewater on the other side of Victoria has cleared many acres of gumtrees, CONTAINING OVER A HUNDRED KOALAS. He not only felled ALL of these trees, NOT ONLY knocked over ALL trees inhabited by koalas at the time of the felling, BUT HE BULLDOZED THE DEAD AND DYING KOALAS INTO PILES, LEAVING THEM DEAD OR IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN, HUNGER AND THIRST.

AS I DON'T TRUST THE GOVERNMENT, I WILL BE STARTING A 'GO FUND ME' PAGE TO EMPLOY THE BEST POSSIBLE BARRISTER TO APPEAR ON BEHALF OF THE KOALAS.  SUCH INHUMANITY AND SELF SERVING GREED, NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED, NOT BY A FINE, BUT BY A JAIL SENTENCE.
