Prairie Moraine Dog Park is one of the largest dog parks in the country.  It's a favorite for local dog owners because it's so large and has so many woodland trails for the dogs to explore and run through.

A small group of people have decided that the dog park should be turned into prairie land and has been removing many of the trees that provide shade, shelter from the wind and trails through the woods that the dogs love to run on.

Most of the dog park users were unaware of the large area of trees that are scheduled to be removed until the large fence around the wooded area went up.

The volunteers have been using pesticides that are dangerous for all animals, planting flowers and trees that are poisonous to dogs, leaving sharp stumps where trees have been decimated.

Please keep this park safe and fun for dogs!  This is one of the only dog parks in Dane County that has wooded areas.  Most of the other parks are just large fields.
