As loyal fans who watch the UFC and pay money for tickets, mechandise and pay-per-views we deserve to have a champion that is held to the same standards as every other athlete. In December of 2014 Jon Jones tested positive for  benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite in cocaine and not receiving any consequences sends a bad message to all of your fighters and to those who inspire to be fighters. It also sends a bad message to those who look up to these fighters.

On April 26th, Jones was involved in a hit and run and injured a  25-year-old pregnant woman who suffered a broken arm. He is also being charged with  be charged with leaving the scene of a crime. 

In May 2012, Jones pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge after crashing into a telephone pole. Is this the kind of person you want as your champion? This is enough factual information to remove him as champion. A normal human being would be fired from their job and thrown in jail.
