Eleven women have come forward in a lawsuit alleging sexual assaults which involved several Eastern Michigan University fraternities. The lawsuit alleges that Eastern Michigan University officials covered these up.
An independent investigation should be launched to investigate not only the alleged sexual assaults, but the alleged cover-up, and the institutional failings.
The survivors deserve accountability to served against those who perpetrated the acts mentioned in their lawsuit, and those who protected these alleged perpetrators from justice.
Tthe office of Attorney General Dana Nessel must launch an independent investigation in order foster accountability.
