Fire John Hevesy

The Issue

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Bulldog fans; I just can't take it anymore. For years we have sat back and watched a disinterested John Hevesy drag his sorry rear end to the sideline. He looks like he couldn't be bothered to show a sense of urgency during the game and hasn't shown so much as a pulse on the recruiting trail.

Don't get me wrong, I feel like we do have serviceable talent on the offensive line. This is not a shot or dig at our student-athletes as I very much appreciate their dedication and hard work for this great University. This is about the inept, clueless knucklehead that is supposed to lead, mentor and coach these young men. He has not given our guys a fair chance.

We got a top JUCO OL recruit in Martinas Rankin, and no fault of his own, I don't know if he has improved one iota since the day he left the JC. Just watching the tape you see poor technique, missed assignments, and just overall poor offensive line play. This is a direct reflection of their leader, John Hevesy.

Dan, we come to you now and ask; we plead. Please fire Hevesy so we can get a good offensive line minded coach. There are plenty out there who would LOVE the opportunity to come and prove themselves in the SECW. We have seen Hevesy miss on OL recruits, we have seen him not pursue others at all who we really had a shot at landing. Its time to move on and rip off the bandaid. It's painfully obvious he has checked out and we can do much, much better.

Has Dak Prescott improved THAT much in 1 year? It's certainly possible that he is just a great quarterback who turned it on just in time for the pro game. Or is it possible that Dak has the time and the protection now to step up into the pocket and make big throws?

I make this petition to establish a tangible awareness that we (Mississippi State fan base) are fed up with what we are seeing from Hevesy on and off the field. He has to go. Please sign this petition so our voices will be heard.
