Honoring Family Veterans - 7 Men, 7 Veterans, 1 Family

Honoring Family Veterans - 7 Men, 7 Veterans, 1 Family
The Issue
In 1942 Margaret and Frank Fenlon of Cheboygan County watched as seven of their sons went off to war. Serving in the Navy, Army, and Air Force, these brothers served their country honorably and, thankfully, returned home safely. They set a record for the number of brothers simultaneously sent off to war and were recognized by the Secretary of War for their commitment and sacrifice.
Patrick, Archie, Leonard, Raymond, Robert, John, and Edward returned home to continue serving their country and communities in various ways while teaching their children to do the same. Many of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren followed their example, going into the armed services themselves.
My goal is simple, I would like to erect a small sign at the location of the former family homestead with a few short sentences about their contributions to their county and their country.
Please help me stress the importance of this small sign of appreciation to those who have the power to make this a possibility.
Thank you for your time.
