Open a Trader Joe's in Las Cruces New Mexico

The Issue

The city of Las Cruces New Mexico is being ignored because Trader Joe's has minimum average income guidelines. This deprives many poor communities like Las Cruces of the kinds of healthy products and services that Trader Joe's sells. Las Cruces has a population larger than Santa Fe New Mexico, yet Santa Fe has a Trader Joe's location. There is no reason to believe that Trader Joe's would not succeed off of the New Mexico State University crowd alone. This gives the appearance that Trader Joe's does not value the largely Hispanic and Native American populations in the area. The area is also economically depressed, and Trader Joe's has been a good employer in areas where it exists. We wish them to rectify this situation by opening a location in Las Cruces as soon as financially possible.
