Over the last decade, numerous animal welfare reports have been filed against Oak Cliff pet store, Wonderland Tropical Pets (200 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208). 

       Upon entrance to this establishment, it is evident that animals are malnourished and cared for improperly. There is a pungent odor that smells like defecation and sickness. Dogs are in small cages layered with soiled newspapers and water bottles for hamsters. Snakes are not in their proper habitat. Iguanas are discolored and dying. Birds are losing their feathers. Rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens are sick and all in the same enclosure. The store owner forbids customers from taking photos and documenting these conditions. 

        Despite community concern, minimal investigations have been conducted and NOTHING has been done to improve the living conditions of all the suffering animals (dogs, birds, reptiles, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, fish, and more) in this establishment. This is unacceptable. These are innocent creatures and they deserve a voice. Will you be that for them? If so, please consider signing and sharing this petition to Dallas City Council District 1 member, Chad West, demanding that he take action for the lives of these animals before it's too late.
