Botham Jean was murdered by Amber Guyger in Dallas, Texas on September 6, 2018 while sitting in his apartment on Lamar Street.

Botham Jean exhibited many qualities and held an exemplary spirit that the citizens of Dallas hold dear. From caring about his friends and family to going the extra mile for strangers. 

Joshua Brown was a neighbor to Botham Jean.  After fearlessly taking the stand and testifying on behalf of Botham, Joshua was murdered in Dallas, Texas. 

Both of these men bodied what Dallas should be. Fearless, full of life, uncomprimsing for the truth and full of promise. For this reason, citizens implore the city to change the street from Lamar Street to Botham Joshua Boulevard.
