TESS NEEDS HER ADOPTIVE FAMILY.  Tess, a beautiful golden retriever, was the adopted dog to one of my dearest friends, the Masons.  Tess (AKC Tess - Sean’s Piece of Stonehearth) was trained by their son, Sean, walked miles daily by the family, played games, hunted, ran free (she knew her boundaries) and was loved by their entire family for over 4 years, since she was a puppy! In July 2019, the kennel owner terminated the family's contract with Tess while they were on vacation (boarding at his kennel was a condition of their rights to Tess)  and she remained at the owner’s facility.  They had different views about her health and breeding her, but they adhered to the agreement.  I can say that if you were Tess, any person or animal, for that matter, there is no place you'd rather be than in the Masons' care. 

The Masons have offered to purchase Tess, but the owner, Dale Emery, refuses to allow Tess to return to her loving and waiting family.   Fast forward 2 1/2 months. Tess has been kept in the kennel and has since had an altercation with one of the owner's dogs, one from the kennel's own litter, the owner's dog with an aggressive history.

Tess' best friend Sean said - "...in the 4 years I have trained and lived with Tess she has never once attacked or initiated a negative interaction with another pet or human being. Tess has played and hunted with dogs and babies without as much as a nip or snarl."  Sean misses his dog, Tess.  

This once highly regarded and professional training and breeding facility has lost its standards and become more of a puppy production for the sole purpose of income with no regard to the safety or well-being of the dogs. This is evident in that the kennel's owner will not allow the Masons to purchase Tess, so that he can breed her, which is against medical advice.  The Masons want Tess back for who she is, not for how many puppies she might make. BRING TESS HOME by Signing and sharing this  petition.
