In October of 2011 our son Derrick Brian Jackson II was brutally murdered. Three men where arrested and held on bonds exceeding $100k. Recently, one was released just days prior to his trial. The explaination given to his mother Bridget Tate, uncle Scott and aunt Tonya by the DA was insufficient evidence. Over the course of the past 6 months since our sons murder, meetings between the DA, police chief and detectives have been held with the family. Calls to the DA office by his father have not been returned,sketchy details given to his mother and the runaround has been given on the progress of the case. It seems the rules are different when a young black male is murdered or is the subject of a criminal investigation. We need your voice to be heard by the district attorney in Evansville, Indiana. We want the DA to act and do his due diligence in holding those responsible, accountable for my sons death!
