EMERGENCY PLEA TO ALL DGA DIRECTORS!

Your Teams need you now.

Right now, there are people you work with stuck at home wondering whether they'll even have a home in the future. They have little to no safety net. The unpredictable and precarious nature of the Coronavirus pandemic has made this necessary.

You, the directors, are the only members of the DGA family who regularly get residuals across platforms. We stage managers, associate directors, PA's and assistant directors acknowledge and are grateful for the contributions that those payments provide for our pension and welfare, but we need something here and now.

Would you directors agree to instruct the DGA to institute an immediate change to the revenue sharing residual payments whereby we reapportion the payments to the entire DGA team, on every platform, on each particular project now, beginning April 2020, and until further dispersion is agreed upon at a later date. 

We appreciate this is a big ask. But, as we said at the start, your team needs your help now. Please let the spirit and unity of the moment be felt by all of our members at the Guild.

All of the undersigned are joined together to formally ask the Director's Council to instruct the DGA staff to take this unprecedented action now.
