Stop Shpock allowing the sale of animals

The Issue

Animals are being openly sold on Shpock with no regard to their current or future welfare - why are Shpock allowed to do this but EBay, and Car Boot sales, who sell in a similar way, don't?  It is unethical and inappropriate to pedal dogs to unknown homes when they could easily fall into the hands of puppy-farmers or, worse, be used as dog-bait if sold cheaply or given away for free.  There are rescue organisations available for all breeds of dogs (and other animals) and to palm a dog off to the highest bidder is simply not humane.  Gumtree and Preloved already allow the sale of animals and the lists of dogs, in particular, are endless and the condition of many on their sites is questionable.  There are no checks or balances to ensure the health and welfare of these animals and it should be stopped.
