On the 2nd of January 2021 11 cats were found beaten to death in Oroklini, Larnaca district, Cyprus. All these cats were supported by a local community, neutered and fed regularly.

Someone came at night and brutally murdered 11 cats and then walked away. On the 15th of January, the autopsy results showed signs of abuse: https://cyprus-mail.com/2021/01/15/autopsies-on-dead-cats-in-oroklini-show-signs-of-abuse/ It is proven that the cats were killed by an individual who was seen by a witness and was recorded by CCTV cameras.

More than 1 month passed since the incident but the police haven't stated having any suspects, ignores people's requests and don't share any information about the investigation. This makes people think that nothing is done to bring the murderer to justice. 

We believe that a stray cat's life matters and the police must take serious action to find the individual, bring them to justice and thus give a clear sign to whoever might think about doing harm to an innocent creature, that they will be found and put to jail, inevitably.

We ask to publicly announce the results of the investigation and protect the reputation of the Cyprus police.
