Mirror and shoulder checks before opening a car door prevents dooring of cyclists. In British Columbia, this action is assessed on the provincial driving test. However, the Ontario driving test does not include this essential safety practice. We would like to raise public awareness on this particular issue to convince the Government of Ontario to implement this simple, life-saving check into the driving test.
