The Rice family has ask Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty to file aggravated murder charges against the Cleveland Police Officers responsible for the death of 12 year old Tamir Rice. "It's important to the family to secure Justice." For almost ten months, the Rice family has waited for Prosecutor McGinty to file charges against the officers. On November 22, 2014 Loehmann and his partner Frank Garmback responded to a 911 call of a guy waving a gun outside the Cudell recreation center. Within seconds of arrival Timothy Loehmann shot Tamir Rice and he died a day later. The family has been diligently seeking Justice for Tamir; and has ask the community to join them in their fight. "It's very important to the family that the highest sustainable charges according to what actually happened and the law be brought against the officers." We are still encouraging people to promote and sign this petition calling for charges to be filed against these officers for the murder of Tamir Rice. Please we are approaching Tamir's 1 year anniversary this coming November, the grand jury selection process has already begun and we have not yet had an arrest. We can't help but wonder if we'll see justice for our slain Tamir Rice due to the blatant delay of due process from the prosecutor's office. We ask that you continue to support our call for justice for Tamir Rice by encouraging your family, friends, and co-workers to sign this petition. We are also asking for resolutions to be sent to the prosecutor's office: Sample Resolution for Legislative Bodies, Congregations, Unions, Community Groups and other Organizations. WHEREAS Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Ronald B. Adrine ruled on June 11, 2015, that probable cause exists to charge Cleveland Police Officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback with murder and/or other serious violations of the law in the shooting death November 23, 2014, of 12 year old Tamir Rice and also ruled that the Prosecutor of the City of Cleveland and or the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor should therefore file charges accordingly against the officers, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That (name of legislative body, congregation, union, community group, and other organizations) call upon Kimberly Barnett_Mills, prosecutor of the city of Cleveland and/or Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty to file complaints without further delay against these police officers in accordance with Judge Adrine's ruling.
