Cut the loop and save the lives of marine animals

Cut the loop and save the lives of marine animals
The Issue
Our oceans are amazing and home to an incredible variety of creatures, but many animals that live in or near the ocean suffer needlessly.
Millions of dolphins, whales, seals, sea lions, turtles, birds and fish are trapped and killed each year by plastic packaging, packing bands and lost or discarded fishing gear.
Found in every sea and ocean on the planet, these nets and packing bands are making the oceans a death trap for the precious sea life that call it home.
Made of durable plastic, packaging and gear can persist in the ocean for decades – even centuries – indiscriminately trapping and killing the animals that happen into its path.
Plastic packing bands, plastic bags and discarded fishing gear pose a threat to curious sea lions, sea birds and other marine animals who can get caught in them or even ingest them.
You can help make our oceans safer for animals by cutting the loops on your packaging, recycling and reusing plastic products whenever possible, and by joining our Sea Change campaign.
