The very traumatizing road in which we have been down. After our beautiful twin boy were wrongfully removed from our care 3 years ago now. We were over joyed to be expecting twin boys very ecstatic to becoming a mother and father. Our right full happiness was taken away since the department for child protection. took our babies away from us, in HOSPITAL ,our worlds came crashing down. I had some anxiety in hospital before our twins were born as any normal excited parent whom is expecting 2 bundles of joy, plus having the worry of our son's heart. Also the the fact that we have got a Mild learning disability. our son was found in my pregnancy to have issues with his heart as explained above. Also the fact that we were expecting twins. That all above, triggered the department to come on the scene. We have tried so Manny different avenues. have put up a good fight since our twins were wrongfully taken from us within the hospital environment. I'm amazed I have not gone psychotic" yes this dramatic experience has caused us ,and our family great sadness and distress. At the moment we cannot afford to go back to court and fight the, long-term order in which sadly has been put on our children. Due to hear say, lies, and false accusations/ assumptions and a myth, that a mild learning disability impacts on us meeting our children's needs.. In which we know it doesn't. If only the government would research this, as it would stare them right in their faces, and it would make life a lot more easier to get through. We're being put through this, when it doesn't  exist, with a Mild learning disability to be impacting on parenting with meeting needs.. The child protection system is in, some ways a disgraceful system, for children. Therefore, as an example:  it's that corrupt where, the children's best interests are not considered to be taken into account, as the child would really want to happen . the government just go with what they want in general, and don't stop and think. About what is really best for the child concerned. What's best for our children  is to be with their parents,  whom have support in placement. and we are parents who, love, care and want to be their for their child in order to nurture them. We have a strong want ,in regards to doing that.  it's not fair, when parents like us, cannot give that to our children, when we really want to. Our children are our worlds. We can't feel complete, when we have a department wall up, as an expression. Yes they do have the Authority, but not the Authority to keep our twin's away from us,  given that there is no serious reason to. Also,When there is plenty of supports provided through the national disability insurance scheme.. to help out, in the areas people like us, need help in.
