On August 20th, Fernando Aguila’s father, Miguel Angel Marquez Rodriguez, called Child Protective Services on Maria Fernanda Aguila Aguila. He made many very strong accusations about Maria which none are true. On September 25th, Miguel filed a temporary restraining order against Maria with many false claims in the statement. On September 28th, the judge approved the restraining order and was taken into effect causing Fernando to be taken away from his mother. 

Miguel Angel Marquez Rodriguez has displayed narcissistic and manipulative behavior towards our family. Every time Maria gathered evidence against Miguel, he would dispose of it.

Miguel always rejected Fernando as his son even before he was born. When Maria was pregnant of Fernando as well as all 5 years of Fernando’s life, Miguel would deny him as his child and was very mentally and emotionally abusive towards Maria. Miguel would message Maria to harass and remind her of his hate towards her and Fernando. He was never fully in Fernando Aguila’s life and was never a father to Fernando.

Fernando Aguila was raised by Maria and our parents, Fernando’s grandparents. Fernando’s grandfather took the father role for many years and became Fernando’s best friend picking up the broken pieces Miguel left, becoming inseparable.

The Aguila family always believed that Fernando has the right to see his father. We never believed in seperating the child from either parent and because of that, Maria and our parents never refused Miguel from seeing Fernando. Miguel never chose to visit his son due to him claiming Fernando isn't his son. Miguel claimed and reported to CPS that Maria never let Miguel visit Fernando which is not true. On September 26th, Fernando’s grandparents dropped off Fernando to visit Miguel trusting that he’s changing for Fernando, just for Miguel to tell them that he’s not giving Fernando back. On September 28th, the police arranged for Miguel and Maria to meet to give Maria time to at least see her own son. On video, Fernando is seen struggling out of his carseat, anxious to see his family and can be seen looking back and forth hoping Miguel does not see him. With the police’s help, they all agreed for Fernando to go home with his family and to meet on September 29th until they reviewed an update on the temporary restraining order. Later that day, Miguel and his ex-wife, who also manipulates Fernando, showed up with the police to pick up Fernando since the restraining order was finalized and approved. On video, Fernando is seen crying because he does not want to go with Miguel again, rather stay with his mother Maria. This is causing emotional trauma to Fernando as well as Miguel constantly confusing him by trying to turn Fernando against his family, telling him what to believe and say. Every time asked if he’s okay after visiting Miguel he just nods his head, becomes sad and tries to change the topic as if he’s being threatened to not say anything.

Now Miguel has a temporary restraining order with Fernando against Maria as well as custody until the court date therefore not allowing Maria to see her own son. Please help save Fernando from the real abuser and get him back home to his loving family. Thank you.
