I am campaigning for Curriculum Reframe in the UK in order to put 'Creativity and Wellbeing at the Heart of Education' This is not about politics, It is about our children. Their future. Our Future.

I worked as an Individual Needs Assistant at a local school in Brighton, East Sussex and observed many children, including those without a diagnosis of any kind unable to access learning because of the outdated and prescribed curriculum currently in force. Our children deserve an education that prepares them not only for exams, but for life. Our Teachers deserve empowerment to have flexibility to inspire, innovate and nurture EVERY child's potential.

Right now, the curriculum is overloaded, rigid and out of line with the needs of today's young people. It sidelines creativity, self awareness, mental health, essential life skills and freedom to follow innate learning opportunities. As an INA and parent (and pupil myself once), I have seen and experienced first hand how the system leaves children stressed, worried, uninspired and unprepared for the challenges of the modern world.

We are calling on the Department of Education and local councils to take action:

• Prioritise creativity and problem solving that reflects the 21st century -including digital literacy 
• Integrate well being and self regulation skills,  emotional intelligence/literacy and resilience into the core curriculum
• Equip children with critical thinking and practical life skills alongside academic knowledge

The curriculum should not have the main focus on test scores - it is about raising a generation who are confident, creative and ready for the world. Education should be about unlocking true potential of each individual child, not just producing grades. 

Please sign this petition if you  believe our children deserve a curriculum that nurtures their whole selves, mind, body, heart and the future.  An education system that embodies curiosity, joy of learning, play, empathy and practical skills which are essential for creating resilient, capable and confident young adults who can thrive in a rapidly changing world.
