Each hall on the campus of Concordia University Nebraska has their own unique name, except the Ruth halls. We are proposing to change the names of Ruth B to Boaz (the husband of Ruth), and Ruth C to Obed (the son of Ruth and Boaz). Not only are these names Biblical, they also provide a sense of pride to each renamed hall because of the new identity found in the new names, which are unlike any of the other halls on campus. These familial names will connect the halls, while also giving them a sense of independence. We feel that this name change will benefit the university as a whole for years to come. 

This is the perfect time for a name change as the halls will be transitioning from freshman to upperclassman dorms in the upcoming school year. It is time for a fresh start. 

One of Concordia's promises is the promise of Community. This name change will bring together students and staff alike, and enrich the community here on campus.
