The residents of Edenside Care Home, Appleby-in-Westmorland, were evacuated on Sunday, 6th December, 2015, following flooding caused by Storm Desmond.  Since then they have been cared for at Greengarth in Penrith but want to come home to Appleby.  Cumbria County Council has not yet decided whether it intends to repair the building and keep the home open.  Supported by Appleby Town Councillors and co-ordinated by the Cumberland & Westmorland Herald this petition is to demonstrate to Cumbria County Council the strength of feeling in the local community that the residents of Edenside should be able to return to their home in Appleby.
