Vote for Extreme Growth, Tall 5 Story Buildings, Terrible Traffic and High Density New York Style Boulder?
No: Bob Yates and Aaron Brockett - voting record of voting for height limit exceptions, tall 5 story buildings and high density development leading to terrible traffic in Boulder
No: Rachel Friend has views similar to Bob and Aaron and in an interview supported tall 5 story buildings.
All Other Candidates not listed above: No - they support extreme development in Boulder.
Also remember to vote YES to the small Open Space sales tax that will continue to support trails and proposed new Boulder Open Spaces!

Bob Yates: No. Why?
Bob does not support the proposed Twin Lakes Great Horned Owl Preserve - home to Colorado's most famous Owls.
Bob does not support the proposed Meadowlark Jumping Mouse Open Space at CU South.
Bob's votes and actions pave the way for more than a 1,000 condos/apartment and sporting fields the University of Colorado wants to build on wetlands and meadow habitat immediately south of Boulder.
Bob has not supported community efforts to encourage the University of Colorado to build the CU South development on existing CU properties.
And, if you aren't familiar with the alarming concept of the Boulder "Opportunity Zone", this is a good article: http://boulderreporter.com/the-great-opportunity-zone-debacle/amp/
(This dev zone article outlines another reason to NOT vote for Bob Yates, Aaron Brockett and Rachel Friend - unless you are for changing Boulder's character and high density development (at the expense of our remaining affordable commercial businesses and residents.)
Personally, I don't think we should try to change Boulder's character to make it just like every other town. The uniqueness and character is what is the draw...
More info on the Opportunity Zone: This "Opportunity Zone" threatens to rebuild the area bounded by diagonal to Arapahoe, 28th to 55th. This includes most of the places that are currently affordable in Boulder (both commercial and residential).
It is likely the 'Opportunity Zone' while enriching developers and real estate investors, will have the Boulder community lose karate studios, gyms, climbing gyms, Rock'n'Resole, fitness gyms, ethnic groceries, repair shops, a theater school, inexpensive restaurants, foodie startups, and lots of other small businesses, which I would argue makes Boulder the town we love. (It's estimated that 1,500 business are in this area, most of which are small, with 50 people or less.
The high density, extreme growth 'Opportunity Zone' supported by extreme development candidates like Yates, Brockett and Rachel Friend also encompasses residential, with around 8,300 residents that could be impacted. The concern is that the opportunity is for the very rich, will raise rents, and will change the character of Boulder, much like the gentrification has done in other opportunity zones across the US.
So I think the key question is do we want to vote for more explosive high density growth (Bob Yates, Aaron Brockett, Rachel Friend etc) or do we want to vote for for Open Space? ·http://boulderreporter.com/the-great-opportunity-zone-debacle/amp/
