EFFECTIVE APRIL 30TH, HCAO WILL NO LONGER BE HOUSED WITHIN NSS

2,000 pre-health students have benefited from the following HCAO services: 

• Support and guidance for pre-health clubs such as I AM PRE-MED, Pre-PA, Pre-Health Dreamers, HCAO Pre-Health Scholars, Pre-Dental Society, and Pre-Vet.
• Scholarship and shadowing opportunities
• One-on-one assistance for pre-requisite course advisement, application and personal statement support, and mock interviews.
• Linkage programs which are pipeline opportunities for students to receive priority in their application reviews to health profession programs
• The CSULA post-baccalaureate program which is one of the most affordable programs countrywide. [The average cost at other institutions is $20,000-$40,000, while CSULA's is $4,000-$10,000 (Wu, "Post-Bacc Program Guide").]
• The first ever annual pre-health fair which allows on and off-campus networking connections including internships and mock interviews

The pre health advisor was also let go without a plan for continuity.

HCAO has made the dreams of CSULA’s pre-health students feasible. Let's fight for what we deserve!!!
