The Issue

As a company known for its innovative and delicious cookies, Crumbl has often caught my attention with their exciting flavors and their unique presentation. However, they recently caught my attention for falling far behind on their ethics and animal welfare practices. My peers and I have attempted multiple times to contact Crumbl and express our concerns, but with no response we feel obligated to bring more attention to this issue via a petition.
Unfortunately Crumbl uses the cruel practice of battery cages. The use of battery cages in egg production is a cruel and inhumane practice that confines hens to small, cramped spaces where they cannot express natural behaviors. This leads to significant suffering and poor quality of life for the birds.
By transitioning to 100% cage-free sourcing, Crumbl can align its brand with ethical practices and consumer values. This transition would also demonstrate Crumbl's commitment to transparency and corporate responsibility.
The benefits of going cage-free include:
Improved animal welfare: Cage-free environments allow hens to move more freely, engage in natural behaviors, and have better quality of life.
Better public image: Many consumers today prioritize animal welfare and are more likely to support businesses that share these values.
Sustainable practices: Cage-free systems are more aligned with sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship.
Staying ahead of the curve: Many companies have already committed to cage-free sourcing, and Crumbl can position itself as an industry leader by following suit.
We believe that Crumbl can make a positive impact by making this change. By signing this petition, we ask Crumbl Cookies to publicly commit to going 100% cage-free and set a timeline for full implementation.
