Who are We?

Piper Hill is a specialist support school in Wythenshawe. We Support our students to become as independent as possible. One of the biggest challenges for our students is safety in the community. This includes crossing roads. At the moment the road outside our Post 16 department is unsafe, this prevents our students from reaching their full potential in terms of personal independence. We have started this petition to change that.

What are we asking for?

We need a signalised crossing (Puffin Crossing) on Greenbrow road.

Why do we need it?

We need a safe place to cross the road when coming in and out of school. The crossing outside the post office is inadequate because if we cross there, then we have to cross two other busy roads.

Who will it benefit?

This will benefit the whole community, particularly students at Piper Hill Post 16 and Dixons Newall High School.
