Putting A Food Truck On LBHS Campus

Putting A Food Truck On LBHS Campus

The Issue

Currently, there is a problem at Liberty regarding students leaving at lunch hours, despite the closed campus rule. Students are traveling to the Mini Mart or Sheri's in order to get a different variety, and I wanted to give these students and everybody else a second option for what to eat every day, in hopes that I could mitigate this problem. My idea was to put a Food Truck on the Liberty Bell Campus, with the specific idea of providing students with an option for better, affordable, and unique cuisine, that they wouldn't be able to get from the school Lunchroom. The people working in the Food Truck would be your friends and peers, and they would be working in it to get volunteer hours, as well as gaining valuable insight into how the process of owning a restaurant works. The profit's for the food truck I intend to put right back into the school, in order to fund for glaring issues throughout the district, such as Field Renovations, new textbooks, repairing the cracks in the parking lot, and better sports equipment, in order to give us a competitive edge. By signing this petition you would help us get to the required 100 votes, in order to take it to the school board, and potentially lease a Food Truck for School Hours, outdoor venues, and sporting events. If it isn't clear already, I care that students at LBHS are having to leave the campus and break the rules in order to get different food, and simply want to give everyone else who might not be leaving the campus the option as well. Lastly, as someone that plays sports, and has seen some of our equipment and fields under disrepair, I want to take a step and fix it.
