Sadly the Legislatures of Dutchess and Ulster Counties have already adopted the IHRA Definition of Antisemitism, a document that runs contrary to everyone's free speech rights. Under IHRA, anyone who speaks out against Israel or supports Palestine can be subject to allegations of antisemitism, threatened with loss of employment, expelled from school or deported. As such the IHRA Definition should be rejected.

County legislators are paid to listen to us. Exercise your rights by calling or emailing yours.

Dutchess residents can find their legislators here:

Ulster residents can find their legislators here:

https://legislature.ulstercountyny.gov/legislators/

The legislators may not be reachable in real time so please send an email or leave a phone message. And feel free to also contact their legislative chair.

In solidarity,
Mark and Fred of MECR
