

NSW DCCEEW (enviro dept) has finally, upon our request, updated the page of their website that talks about their Joint Management Agreement (JMA) with DPI, to reflect the fact that it’s the ONLY ONE in the entire state. An anomaly.
The JMA is effectively a “license to kill”... and we now know it's the only one in existence!
It being in place, gives DPI a legal defense for slaughtering protected and threatened species in shark nets. Without it, this would be illegal for DPI, just like it is illegal for everyone else.
We once again ask Penny Sharpe to PLEASE remove this “license to kill”, by terminating the JMA for failing to meet its objectives for over a decade.
