Don't worry, no fax machine required! The champions at HSI have created this link to do it quickly and easily.

Shark nets returned to the NSW coastline today (September 1st) for the 2023/24 season. Help us extend our support to Humane Society International (HSI) Australia's initiative to put an end to shark nets.

HSI is urging the public to participate in an action that involves sending a fax to the NSW Premier, urging for the retirement of shark nets. The process is simple – you only need to provide your name, email address, postcode and press the send button.

The idea behind using fax rather than email is to highlight how deeply absurd it is that wildly outdated shark nets continue to be used by the NSW government for 'beach safety'.

We had all hoped that a new government would take heed of science and introduce a comprehensive plan to finally phase out shark nets. Unfortunately, this has not occurred.

The NSW Government's use of outdated technology has spurred us to support HSI Australia's campaign. The call to send a fax to the Premier, advocating for the retirement of shark nets, is one that we endorse wholeheartedly.

We encourage you to participate in this effort by adding your name and sending the fax, thereby contributing to the push for a more forward-thinking and effective approach to marine conservation.
