Emma Hayes, the incomparable manager of Chelsea FC Women has made the decision to move to pastures new. In Emma style she has done it in a typically professional way, and we should not underestimate the value of having months to prepare really means. Any fan of CFCW, or Women’s football, even many who know nothing of women’s football know how unique Emma is, but things move on, and at this point while she focuses on the current, and the choice of her successor, we should consider true recognition of her achievements and contributions.

Emma has transformed Chelsea, winning six WSL titles, five FA Cups, and two League Cups and more. She has also been named WSL Manager of the Season a record six times. She is a passionate advocate for women's football and has been credited with raising the profile of the game in England.

As shown by the efforts of the US Women’s team to recruit her, Emma is a highly respected figure across the world of football and is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the game. She is an inspiration to women and girls everywhere and is sure to continue to make a significant impact on the sport.

There can be no better example that real recognition of what she has done for Chelsea should be the Club and we the undersigned believe this could best be shown by the permanent renaming of Kingsmeadow’s West Stand to “The Emma Hayes Stand”.
