We need the US Senate to create a bill called Veronica's Law. It should ensure that children placed for adoption receive the consent of both natural parents for placement or the child should have a legal and constitutional right to a best interests hearing and a right to remain with a fit and loving natural parent or grandparent, when one exists, in any contested adoption.

Children like "Baby Veronica",  newly-adopted at the age of four, who was forced to leave a fit and loving natural father and grandparents, are being trafficked by an unregulated adoption industry. Children's human right to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness (and heritage) within their birth family with a fit and loving parent or grandparents are seldom being considered in private adoptions running rampant. Private adoption should not be a for-profit industry desecrating the rights of fit biological parents, and federal regulation is desperately needed..

Letter to

"Veronica's Law" needs to be created to ensure that children placed for adoption receive constitutional protection under law and the private, "for-profit" adoption industry is federally regulated.

We need the Senate to create and pass Veronica's Law to ensure that children placed for adoption should receive the consent of both natural parents for placement or the child should have a legal and constitutional right to a best interests hearing and a right to remain with a fit and loving natural parent or grandparent, when one exists, in any contested adoption.

Children like Veronica Brown, now known at age four as the newly-adopted Veronica Capobianco, with a fit and loving natural father and grandparents, are being trafficked by an unregulated adoption industry. Children's human rights to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness (and heritage) within their birth family with a fit and loving parent or grandparents are seldom being considered in private adoptions running rampant. Private adoption should not be a for-profit industry, desecrating the rights of fit biological parents, and federal regulation is desperately needed..
