We urge the Authorities to support the creation of two important Path for Everyone routes in Ryedale, North Yorkshire; Kirkbymoorside - Helmsley and Hovingham-Malton.

These routes will be for pedestrians, wheelchairs, cycling and horse-riding, and will mostly be separate from motor vehicles. They will connect important amenities in our communities, including schools, shops, employment, sports facilities and residential areas. 

These routes are created in memory of Charlie, the teenage cyclist, who lost his life in a collision with a car near Kirkbymoorside. These routes are vital for safety, and it is also crucial, in a climate emergency and cost of living crisis, that more people can travel in a low-carbon, healthier and cheaper way. 

We understand that funding and landowner co-operation will be needed to build these routes.  To support these routes, we pledge to use them, and use them with consideration for others, if they are built.
